--The Valley of Vision
| hmmm... |
To say that we're conflicted about this is a massive understatement. Life here is good. Really good. We love the people of Grace Church, and gain a real sense of fulfillment by serving among them. Leaving our families and friends feels like a punch in the gut. On the other hand, we feel a real sense of urgency to take the good news of Christ to people who have never heard it.
There is so much to say. Spelling it all out on the blog is just not possible, but if you'd like to talk to us more, we'd love to make that happen. Shoot us an email, call, text, facebook us, or stop on by.
Here are a few verses that have had a shaping influence on us lately:
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
(Matthew 9:37-38 ESV)
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent?
(Romans 10:14-15 ESV)
And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Immediately they left their nets and followed him.
(Matthew 4:19-20 ESV)
There is more to be said, but for now, we would covet your prayers. We are seeking counsel, asking God for wisdom, and trying to walk in faith. We know He will direct our steps.
