October 31

Wow.  We are already a week into November!  I feel like time is moving at light speed.  You know, except during those times of potty training that he "forgets" to go to the bathroom.  And those times where one little gray lego piece is the cause of screams and fists and lots of tears.  And when I'm doing laundry.  But other than that...light speed!
So, our Halloween night was a fun one.  We were invited to Jordan and Shelby's house (some of our young adults at church).  The care group kids (ours and the H's) somehow began calling Jordan "Mr. Pancake" and Shelby "Mrs. Waffles."  It's ridiculous and hilarious.  But what put it over the top was Shelby's handmade costume for Jordan...
He DOES exist!  (Mr. Pancakes, that is.)
What a riot!  We enjoyed hanging out, eating pizza, doing a little trick or treating in their cul-de-sac, and making oreo and marshmallow spiders with Mrs. Waffles.  (Thank you Shelby!)
For our costumes this year, we only had to travel to our dress up trunk...thanks to hand-me-downs over the years, we had lots to choose from.

Our night was filled with sweet fellowship and sugary treats!  We wanted to bless our neighborhood kids with treats as well, so we left a sign and a huge basket of candy on the front porch.  I'd like to think all the neighbors stopped by to get some, but I keep imagining a teenager dumping all the candy into a pillowcase.  (Ok, so maybe I took more than my fair share when faced with that situation as a kid...)  :)

Lots of summer and fall rewinds coming soon...
